First Created by John Emary Aquascutum is latin for water shield. The Perfect Mac has been created and redeveloped over the years from the signature styles created over the years. From Trench Coats first created for officers in the Crimean War (1853–1856) which were made from Aquascutum's waterproof fabric, as were the trench coats worn by soldiers of all ranks in both world wars to the much loved best selling Berkeley Jacket of today.
The Aquascutum Berkeley Raincoat is constructed from a showerproof cotton blend, in a regular fit. The collar can be worn up or down to show the concealed club check.
Displayed at the front is a flat pointed collar with a concealed button placket through the centre, with the slit at the rear to ease movement, ventilation and style.
The iconic club check showcases itself on the lining of the jacket.
